One Week with Hazel.

We're now on day 11 (or is it 12?) with our little Hazelnut, and it's hard to believe we didn't know her just less than two weeks ago. We're slowly adjusting to a new pace of life, while also trying to maintain some sense of normalcy with her along for the ride. We've mostly taken it really slow, but have tried to have some kind of outing every day, especially while Aaron is still on leave. We're getting 7-8 hours of sleep at night (not in a row…) and haven't yet felt the level of exhaustion we expected. I know it'll be tougher when Aaron goes back to work and doesn't have the luxury of napping during the day, and I'll be learning to manage life with her on my own. For now, we're pretending Monday isn't coming and we're soaking in these sweet days as a family of three. Here are some of my favorite non-iPhone pictures we took over her first week of life while lounging at home. It's so surreal she's here and she's ours!
