My Best Friend's Wedding Weekend!
What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with the wedding of your best friend, am I right? It was the most joyful of weekends spent in New Hampshire, enjoying the adorable coastal town of Portsmouth, and witnessing the marriage of Allie and Sean. It made me so happy to see how loved they are and getting to be part of their celebration was such a gift. We enjoyed the loveliest cocktail hour on the river prior to their rehearsal dinner and it was the perfect way to start off the weekend. Allie also happened to be the MOST beautiful bride and their reception was one of the best dance parties ever, although I was way too busy dancing my heart out to take a single picture ;)

Summertime at the beach.
We got back on Tuesday night from the loveliest few days at the beach. After several incredibly busy (but wonderful) weeks, it was so nice to have two days to relax and play together. The highlight was obviously flying our kite! It was a gift from Aaron for my 23rd birthday and we finally put it to use again after 3 (!) years of hibernation. We also spent our days biking everywhere, drinking margaritas, and enjoying shaved ice as a mid-day treat. Hoping for more summer days like this to come!

3 Years of Marriage!
Last Tuesday Aaron and I celebrated 3 years of marriage! We had grand plans for a Central Park picnic but the forecast called for rain so we settled for a couch picnic at home. The thing about being married to Aaron is that even the most mundane moments are far better with him than the most spectacular without him. We laugh and flirt like we just met and have a tenderness that's been years in the making - I would melt into him if I could! Since they say that it only gets better with time I can't wait to see what the rest of our days together hold. Happy Anniversary, Husband!

Palm Springs, California.
The second half of our trip was set for the Ojai Valley where we had grand plans to hike, lay by the pool, and witness "the pink moment" at sunset. We arrived at our adorable inn only to find that the pool was closed due to permit issues. Womp womp! Thankfully, they were kind enough to let us cancel. We made a game time decision and opted into driving a quick three hours to a place we've been and loved in Palm Springs. The drive was gorgeous and Palm Springs didn't disappoint! We also made a detour on the way to stop at the house from the Father of the Bride movies - it looked just like the movie and made me so happy to see in real life.

Santa Barbara, California.
I think we may have started a new tradition this year - celebrate your birthday on vacation! We went to Turks and Caicos for Aaron's 30th and spent this past weekend (plus some days) in Southern California for mine. Our first stop was Santa Barbara, and here's a bit of the goodness we experienced while there. I can't get this adorable seaside town out of my head!
