Saturday in the park.

A beautiful Saturday calls for a walk in the park with some friends and realizing I'll probably never wear white jeans again (they are already dirty for the record).

Friday Night Picnic in Central Park.

It was one of those nights where the temperature is spot on, laughs are abundant, and you realize just how grateful you are to live in the greatest city in the world.

An afternoon in Brooklyn.

As a Manhattanite, Brooklyn tends to be a place I only visit for a quick jaunt to Smorgasburg or a stop on the East River Ferry. It's probably because we don't know enough about it or really where to go once we're there, but I can't say I ever really LOVED the parts of Brooklyn I've visited. That is, until this weekend!

Christine was so kind to plan an afternoon to show me all the things she loves about her neighborhood and it did not disappoint. From the colorful murals to the well-lit coffee shops, she prepared such a lovely afternoon excursion. We started the day at Devocion, which I'd highly recommend - the iced coffee was delicious and the sky lights were an added bonus. From there, we walked around Williamsburg and took advantage of the ever-changing street art as photo backdrops. We then hopped on bikes and headed toward Clinton Hill which was the cherry on top of a quality afternoon. Christine is looking to live in the neighborhood, so we popped into a few open houses to get a sense for what was available and to give ourselves a major case of apartment envy. I came home raving about the day and excited to finally "get" what people love about Brooklyn.

A Week at Home.

After a week at home enjoying all that is suburbia, I'm grateful to be back in the NYC grind and taking full advantage of the remaining weeks of summer. We have a full calendar this month with baseball games, visitors, a comedy club date night, and all the rooftop drinks we can get our hands on. Before I delve into soaking up (and likely documenting) all of the fun things to come, I wanted to share a glimpse at the sunshine-filled week I spent in Maryland. There is so much nostalgia surrounding summertime in my hometown and I tried my best to take it all in before heading back to New York. photo IMG_7212_zpsrhn68kgc.jpg photo IMG_7226_zpsibfo38og.jpg photo IMG_7235_zpsolxhxsoz.jpg photo IMG_7250_zpsbxrhcvji.jpg photo IMG_7264_zps4x4yfdtd.jpg photo IMG_7265_zpsgcggf6oz.jpg photo IMG_7278_zpsibubihjs.jpg photo IMG_7285_zpsliwdosci.jpg
