Christmas Card Photo Shoot 2013.

There's nothing like a Christmas card photo-shoot on a crisp New York day to make you feel like holidays are coming! Ever since photography became a "thing" for me, I was naturally recruited to take my sister and her husband's yearly Christmas card picture. Of course, once Aaron was added into the mix I wanted pictures, too. Thankfully we have Sam! He's been able to gather enough from my poor instruction to compose a shot and get a clear picture of the two of us. He took so many good ones I had a hard time choosing. Thanks, Sam!

See our 2012 and 2011 pictures' here. I can't wait to keep and compare the pictures we take every year to see us grow and age. For more of Jess and Sam click here, here, and here.

Pink on pink on pink!

On Sunday we got to officially celebrate the littlest (soon-to-be) member of our family! I was happy to see my vision for the shower come to fruition (with lots of help from my mom + others), and to see the CROWDS of women come out to celebrate my sister. I've truly never seen so many people in my parents house at once. We crammed in, ate some donuts (!), ooh-ed and ahh-ed over every tiny piece of clothing, and blinded ourselves with so much pink and gold. It was glorious!

Here's to hoping it's really a girl!

Happy Veteran's Day, Husband!

I truly never thought I would marry one of those "military guys." I liked the idea of being around the person I dated/married and having them deployed and away for months didn't seem like it was for me. But then again, who IS that for? That's the great thing about these people, they serve our country even though it's not ideal, or fun, or desirable at all for their families. They are a picture of sacrifice, and I'm so thankful that there are people willing to be uncomfortable and far away for us. Thankfully and ever-so-miraculously, Aaron was never once deployed during our (quick) 7-months of dating. Just in time for our wedding, he was out of the Navy and into the civilian world which made me one happy girl.

I love you, Aaron! Thank you for your service. You look so good in your costume :)

Top of the Rock.

Sometimes I don't mind the touristy things. Do I mind Times Square? Always yes. But do I mind a crowd here or there while viewing the city I love and seeing the Central Park trees at their peak from above? Nope, I don't mind at all.
